Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CleanMyGallery ("the Service"), including the website at cleanmygallery.com, the iOS app, and the Android app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CleanMyGallery. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

2. Description of Service

CleanMyGallery provides privacy-first photo management tools, including but not limited to:

  • Image compression and resizing
  • EXIF metadata viewing and stripping
  • HEIC to JPG format conversion
  • Duplicate photo detection
  • Privacy score analysis
  • Mobile app features: photo library scanning, contact cleanup, storage forecasting, and more

The Service is offered in two tiers: a free tier with ads and basic features, and a premium tier with additional features and no ads. Feature availability may vary between the web tools and mobile app.

3. User Accounts & Subscriptions

The web tools at cleanmygallery.com do not require an account and are free to use.

The mobile app offers optional premium subscriptions managed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Subscription billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled entirely by the respective platform:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings
  • Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as they process all payments
  • Subscription management is facilitated by RevenueCat, which does not store payment card information

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process illegal content or content that violates the rights of others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the mobile app beyond what is permitted by applicable law
  • Attempt to circumvent premium features, subscription verification, or ad delivery mechanisms
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the website beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service or any part of it
  • Misrepresent CleanMyGallery or impersonate the Service in any way

5. Intellectual Property

Our property: The CleanMyGallery name, logo, web tools, mobile app, and all associated code, design, and content are the intellectual property of CleanMyGallery and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Your property: You retain full ownership of all photos, images, and media files you process using CleanMyGallery. We claim no ownership, license, or rights over your content. Since all processing happens locally on your device, we never have access to your content in the first place.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to CleanMyGallery. Our data practices are described in detail in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The key principle: your files are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

CleanMyGallery does not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected within a specific timeframe

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your photos and files. Always verify processed files before deleting originals.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CLEANMYGALLERY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF PHOTOS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL CLEANMYGALLERY'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO CLEANMYGALLERY IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Termination

You may stop using CleanMyGallery at any time by uninstalling the mobile app and/or ceasing to use the web tools. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Service, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may provide additional notice through in-app notifications or email.

Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
